Sod Prices Per Pallet in Jacksonville: What to Compare

A pallet quote is useful only when you know what the pallet covers and what the price includes. Ask for current cultivar availability and the supplier's actual square-foot coverage; do not assume every pallet contains the same amount.

Separate sod from installed work

Ask whether the figure covers material only, delivery, unloading, removal of old turf, preparation or installation. Compare the same cultivar and measured area. A material price cannot establish the cost of correcting drainage or moving sod through a narrow gate.

Calculate quantity from confirmed coverage

Measure the lawn sections and exclude beds and paving. Divide the required area, including an appropriate cutting allowance, by the confirmed coverage per pallet. Round according to what the supplier actually sells. The sod calculator shows its assumptions; it is not a supplier inventory or delivery quote.

Do not overlap installed sod to consume an allowance. Pieces should meet cleanly against prepared soil; trimming and irregular shapes are separate planning considerations.

Check delivery and freshness arrangements

Confirm the unloading location, access and when the crew can lay the order. Ask how harvest, transport and installation will be coordinated. Do not choose a promised discount month at the expense of suitable weather or permitted establishment watering.
